James Swanwick is a US and South American-based Australian entrepreneur and TV presenter. He is an anchor on ESPN's "SportsCenter", filmed out of Bristol, CT; is author of book "Become a Celebrity Journalist"; co-founder of software development house, "LittleSideProjects" and international media agency, Crocmedia; and exports South American goods to the US and Asia.

Swanwick was born in Bacchus Marsh, Australia but grew up in Brisbane, Australia. He graduated from Anglican Church Grammar School in 1992 and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Queensland in 1998, specializing in government and history.
Swanwick is best known as an anchor on ESPN’s “Sportscenter”, Australia and New Zealand version, since July 2010. Filmed out of ESPN’s global headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut, Swanwick is seen regularly on ESPN at 6.30pm weeknights.
Swanwick is author of How to Become a Celebrity Journalist (www.celebritymediasecrets.com), a book sold online which has proven particularly popular with journalism students. The book teaches students how to get a career in celebrity journalism, based on Swanwick's seven years as a Hollywood correspondent from 2003-2010. In the book, Swanwick tells of stories of interviewing Hollywood stars including Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, Russell Crowe, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Anniston, Michael Douglas, Jamie Foxx and Lindsay Lohan.
Swanwick co-founded and owns international media agency, Crocmedia, which he started with fellow journalist Craig Hutchison with offices in Los Angeles, New York and Melbourne. He is also co-founder of Little Side Projects LLC, a software development house which specializes in customized web, mobile and social media applications. Swanwick also has an import-export business trading various goods between South America, the US and Asia.
Swanwick has had a long career as a print, TV and radio journalist. He began his career in 1993 as a reporter at The Courier-Mail in Brisbane, Australia where he covered business, finance, politics, industrial relations, police, TV and entertainment and sport. Swanwick then moved to London in 1999 where he reported for Sky Sports, covering the 1999 Rugby World Cup, Cricket World Cup, several Wimbledon tennis championships and the British Open. He moved to Los Angeles in 2003 as a Hollywood entertainment correspondent, writing for leading newspapers and magazines throughout Australia and Britain. He appeared on several TV and radio shows. Swanwick interviewed Hollywood stars including Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, Russell Crowe, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Anniston, Michael Douglas, Jamie Foxx and Lindsay Lohan. In 2010, he began his career at ESPN hosting SportsCenter.
Swanwick won the prestigious Queensland Media Award in 1996 for his interview and expose on Pauline Hanson, one of Australia’s most publicized and controversial political figures.
